Pickup across central, north and south Phoenix
We pick up anywhere in Arizona. South Phoenix coverage includes South Mountain, Laveen and Ahwatukee. The Arizona service area also covers material stored outside the city, so a Phoenix job name does not limit where we can collect its unused wire.
Tell us where the reels are now, not just where the project took place. A contractor may finish a Phoenix installation but keep the remaining cable in Tolleson, Avondale or Glendale. Those cities and Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear and Buckeye are covered on our West Valley page. For material in Tempe, Mesa, Chandler or Gilbert, see East Valley wire pickup. Scottsdale and the town of Paradise Valley are covered too.
North Phoenix fab and industrial project leftovers
TSMC's north Phoenix campus has both operating manufacturing and later construction phases. Its Arizona page states that the first fab began high-volume production in the fourth quarter of 2024. The second fab's structure was completed in 2025, with volume production targeted for the second half of 2027. Those are different stages, not a claim that every planned building is finished.
For a seller, the useful distinction is between unused installation material and cable removed from operating equipment. We review surplus feeders, control cable and other reusable material from semiconductor construction projects, but we do not buy wire pulled out of service. These project facts do not imply a buying relationship with TSMC.
Keep each cable order tied to its tag and paperwork. A reel reserved for a later phase is not automatically available to sell. Confirm its release with purchasing or the project manager before including it in your inventory. The city also identifies Deer Valley and I-17 North as employment corridors. For material from those corridors, include the facility or project name with your ownership records.
Central and south Phoenix commercial cable lots
Phoenix's economic development department identifies Downtown, Midtown, Airport, South Mountain Tech and Southwest Phoenix among its employment corridors. For an interior buildout, list branch-circuit wire and leftover MC coils separately. For a commercial or plant job, separate feeders from control cable. List the actual product rather than describing everything as industrial wire.
Data-center work is another part of the Phoenix market. CBRE's H2 2025 report identified projects in Phoenix and neighboring Valley cities with expected completion during the following year. It also noted APS and SRP power-delivery restrictions. A reported schedule is not proof of completion or available surplus. If a delivery was reduced, held or reassigned, make clear which reels your company can release.
For data-center cable lots, separate power cable from fiber and other communications cable. Photograph the whole lot, but provide a readable tag for each product. Include the full product name and part number instead of identifying a reel by jacket color.
Wire types to separate before requesting an offer
We buy reusable copper and aluminum material, from small building-wire coils to large feeder reels. Phoenix contractors can send full reels, partial reels and unused cut lengths still long enough to install. Keep the remaining length attached to each entry rather than giving one total for a mixed load.
| Material in your Phoenix lot | Identification details to send |
|---|---|
| THHN and THWN-2 building wire | Conductor size, copper or aluminum, color, solid or stranded construction, and all printed ratings |
| XHHW-2 feeders and service entrance cable | Metal, size, wire designation, number of conductors for cable, and footage per reel |
| MC cable and residential boxed coils | Package label, cable type, conductor size and count, and unopened or partial status |
| Medium voltage cable | Voltage class, full product designation, manufacturer's part number, end-seal photos and available test records |
| PV wire and solar cable | Printed PV designation, voltage rating, size, metal and remaining footage |
| Tray, control, Cat6 and fiber cable | Part number, conductor or fiber count, listing and footage markings where present |
Our THHN and THWN-2 guide explains what to show on building wire. For example, Southwire SPEC10000 describes copper THHN/THWN-2 with PVC insulation and a nylon sheath, rated 600 volts. Its THHN rating covers dry locations up to 90°C; THWN-2 covers wet or dry locations up to 90°C. Read the actual markings, not just the color.
Keep XHHW-2 feeder reels separate from similar-looking products. If you want to sell copper wire in Phoenix, our surplus copper wire page covers the material details that affect its review. Copper content alone does not identify an installable product.
Phoenix heat, dust and monsoon storage checks
Phoenix storage conditions deserve their own photos. The National Weather Service identifies excessive heat, dust storms, damaging thunderstorm winds and flash flooding as local monsoon hazards. Tell us whether your reels were under cover, in direct sun, or exposed to runoff. Include how long they were stored outside if you know.
Photograph faded print, cracked insulation, crushed cable, torn coil packaging and damaged reel flanges. Gently clear loose dust from a tag so its part number can be read, but do not alter markings or hide damage. Wet-location ratings do not mean soaked packaging or open cable ends can be ignored. Show end seals clearly, especially on medium voltage cable.
Do not unwind a heavy reel just for photos or cut cable to make it easier to handle. Show the accessible outer wraps and any visible trouble spots. Tell us if an exposed end has been left open after a cut.
Details that make a Phoenix inventory usable
Match your photos to a simple reel-by-reel list. Include the manufacturer, product type, conductor size, metal and estimated remaining footage. Mark an estimate as an estimate. If several reels match, identify them individually so a full reel is not confused with a short remainder.
For cut lengths, record each separate piece. Three disconnected lengths are not one continuous feeder run. Keep invoices, purchase orders or closeout records with the inventory, and identify who has authority to sell company-owned material. We cannot buy material the seller cannot show they own.
Site access and release arrangements
For Arizona wire pickup, tell us about gate codes, security check-in, escort requirements and site rules before arrangements are confirmed. At airport-area or controlled manufacturing sites, identify the approved entrance and the person who can release the cable. Describe whether the reels are indoors, under cover or outside, how they are positioned, and any access or loading restrictions.
Send those details with your photos through Get an Offer. Payment method and timing are confirmed in writing before pickup. If material from one Phoenix project is stored at several locations, list the inventory at each location so the written terms match what is available.
