Fill out the form from your phone
Enter your name, company, phone, email and pickup city in Arizona. Add a short description in the wire details box and upload up to six photos. Keep the notes brief; readable photos do much of the identification work. Each submission is emailed to industrial832@gmail.com for review.
Use the city where the lot sits, not your company's home city. For a solar closeout near Coolidge, where SRP's Eleven Mile Solar System is located, give the pickup city rather than just the project or utility name. If typing is difficult, you can call (951) 403-5738.
Take these four photos first
- Reel tag: Photograph the entire label straight on. Make the brand, part number, size, wire type, original length and reel number readable. Include any date shown.
- Print line: Take a close-up of a complete stretch of lettering on the insulation or jacket. Capture the type, conductor size, voltage marking, brand and any footage or date markings present. Avoid glare and blurred lettering.
- Whole lot: Step back so we can count the reels, boxed coils and separate lengths. Keep different products identifiable instead of hiding them behind one reel.
- Reel flanges: Show both side discs where accessible, including cracks, broken edges or loose boards. Include visible jacket damage and the condition of cable ends.
Use the extra uploads for a second product's label or another angle. The reel tag and print-line guide explains what each marking tells us. Do not move a heavy reel or remove an end seal just to take a picture.
Estimate footage without guessing from the reel tag
For an unopened reel, report the tagged footage and say it is unopened. For a partial reel, start with a cut log or inventory record showing what was removed. Identify the amount as an estimate unless you have measured it.
If both ends have accessible sequential length marks, record both numbers and their units. Their difference can indicate the length between those points. A single printed number does not always equal the footage remaining. Cerrowire's True Sequential Footage system starts at zero at the inner end of the original reel, so its outer-end mark can show what remains. Confirm the marking system before using that shortcut. Do not apply it to rewound cable.
If records and markings are unavailable, send whole-reel photos and write "footage unknown." The partial-reel footage guide covers other estimating methods. Report each cut length separately, not just a combined total.
What to put in the details box
Use one line per product. This format keeps a mixed lot understandable:
Wire type; size; copper or aluminum; color; number of reels or coils; footage per reel; full or partial; condition; pickup city.
Add the brand, part number, conductor count and voltage rating when readable. Copy markings exactly, such as THHN or XHHW-2, rather than guessing from insulation color. Group matching reels in your notes, but keep each remaining length separate. If the tag is missing, describe what you can read and leave uncertain details marked "unknown."
For solar wire and cable, include the printed designation, not simply "solar cable." Tell us if the lot must be released by someone else at your company.
Describe condition and what is available
We review new and unused reels, partial reels, boxed coils and cut lengths still long enough to install. We buy copper and aluminum across the wire and cable types we buy. We do not buy wire pulled out of service, burned or damaged wire, short chopped pieces, or material you cannot show you own.
Mention sun exposure, water, damaged packaging or missing tags. For medium voltage cable, describe whether the ends remain sealed. Type, size, footage, brand, date and condition affect the offer, along with current product demand and the copper and aluminum markets. Clear photos help us review those details.
What happens after you submit
We review the lot and send a written offer. Missing identification or quantity details may need clarification. For the broader sale process, see how selling your wire works.
Before buying, we verify ownership and the seller's authority to release company material. Have an invoice, purchase order or job closeout record available. Payment method and timing are confirmed in writing before pickup; ask about a company check or ACH while reviewing the offer. The payment and paperwork page explains what to prepare. At pickup, we check the material against the written terms.
